Here are some awesome organizations we've teamed up with to bring more food allergy awareness & resources into the community.

Red Sneakers for Oakley

Red Sneakers for Oakley was established by Robert and Merrill Debbs after the death of their 11-year-old son Oakley due to a fatal allergic reaction to nuts. Oakley loved his red sneakers and the family decided to use them as a powerful symbol for increased education and awareness among communities of people with food allergies, but also people who don’t have them.

Hedberg Allergy & Asthma Clinic

With offices in Fayetteville, Arkansas; Rogers, Arkansas; and Joplin, Missouri, Hedberg Allergy & Asthma Clinic is the only group of board certified allergists in Northwest Arkansas, proud to serve patients from all over the Ozarks. They've been a supporter of K12Allergies from the beginning, with a physician there Dr. Matthew Bell acting as a K12Allergies' board member as well.

GFree Friends

Advocates for inclusive, safe dining for all college students with food restrictions, this group surveys students about their campus dining programs and posts this candid feedback. Originally a parent-driven celiac support group, Gluten Free Friends worked with FARE to adapt the college dining survey to include all food allergies. .

Feed Your Can

Hear inspiring stories and interviews where people living with food allergies discuss gaining back their power. We discuss practical tips, savvy life hacks and mind snacks where food allergy struggles are the teacher. Join us as we Feed Your Can...when some foods, you just can't.™

FPIES Foundation

A nonprofit organization dedicated to helping those affected by FPIES. They provide education materials, blog posts, and support parents need to support their kids. The foundation emphasizes that parents of kids with FPIES are not alone and is a comprehensive resource for practitioners, kids, and families affected by FPIES.

EpiReminder

An attachment for Epipens that notifies you through the app if you or the caregiver in charge is too far away from the Epipen or if it’s too hot or cold. It is a really awesome resource for those with epipens as you can hand the reminders off between caregivers and supervise teenagers with their Epipens.

Detective Harley FADD

Harley is a Golden Retriever allergen alert service dog trained to detect peanuts. He is an international spokesdog for the food allergy community. He changes the narrative on food allergies with education, empowerment, and encouraging empathy.

Two food allergy moms who teamed up to provide support, resources, and ideas for other families raising littles with food allergies through their blog.

There are so many other food allergy resources on the internet and it is our hope that everyone looking for information about food allergies in kids can find it. Here are some useful websites and a quick description about each of them –

Food Allergy Research & Education

– FARE has many resources available for those living with food allergies. It is an organization dedicated to advancing the lives of those with food allergies, through articles about Emergency Care Plans, COVID-19 with allergies, and support groups for people of all ages diagnosed with allergies.

Kids With Food Allergies

– KFA is a division of the Asthma and Allergy Foundation and is dedicated to “reducing the burden of food allergies through support, advocacy, education, and research.” They have many resources available online including a free course about how to manage your children’s allergy, food allergy news and research, and a collection of allergy-friendly recipes.

Spokin App
– The Spokin app is helping the community find safe food and restaurants as well as other food allergy families in your area. You can download this app on the iOS App Store and get started to find food allergy friendly places near you!

Red Sneakers for Oakley
– Red Sneakers for Oakley is a nonprofit devoted to spread food allergy awareness and education, created by two parents whose child unfortunately died due to a fatal reaction to nuts. They have resources listed on their website, as well as a blog which are great resources!


Epicenter App
– Epicenter’s goal is to “help people with food allergies communicate with ease, whether facing an emergency situation, language barrier, or trying to connect with the food allergy community.” They also have a blog and allergy friendly recipes online. You can download their app on iOS and Android to “get your favorite blogs, FDA updates, & access features like automatic emergency calling, SMS alerts to emergency contacts, food allergy translations, & more!”

Allergic Living Magazine
– The Allergic Living Magazine has many many resource for those with food allergies, celiac, outdoor allergies, or asthma. Their “mission is to be the authoritative and trustworthy source of news and information for the allergy community.” They also have a resources section and you can subscribe to their digital magazine!

Dilan And Me Blog
Breastfeeding with CMPA, the blog of a food allergy mom. She shows the diagnosis process of CMPA as well as many dairy free resources.
